MAFA/KSU Meeting Tomorrow Night!
Dear Friend,
Join us tomorrow night THURSDAY, November 16th for our regular scheduled meeting at Newton’s Attic, 4974 Old Versailles Road, Lexington.
Come at 6 PM to chat & snack and have a little wine! The meeting starts at 6:30 PM sharp. Everyone is welcome at meetings so bring your friends, your parents, your friend’s parents! Meeting details are here.
PS. Kids are always welcome at potlucks which are the first Thursday of every month. Kids are welcome at regular meetings, too, just bear in mind that we talk about adult issues often using adult language. :)
Reminder:
We have a new schedule for our meetings!
We are happy to introduce our new meeting format. Starting this month, Lexington MAFA meetings will be the first and third Thursdays of the month. First Thursdays will be dedicated to Let’s Trade Kentucky Potluck Socials and will include time for announcements. Third Thursdays will typically have a guest presenter or a skill-building workshop. If you have ideas for guest presenters, please email Kathy at KathyGornik2@gmail.com.
Newton’s Attic will remain available other (non 1st & 3rd) Thursday evenings to anyone who wishes to gather or host a special purpose meeting. Regardless of meetings, Newton’s Attic will also remain open until at least 7:00 p.m. for Kentucky Food Independence Club (KFIC) pickups. If you would like to use Newton’s Attic on non-MAFA meeting Thursdays or any other day, or if you would like to pick up your food order at a time other than Thursdays before 7:00 p.m., please text Dawn at 859-492-8511.
December Presenter
The wonderful Gretchen Shaffer Wahlstedt has agreed to present on Non-Violent Communication (NVC) during our December 21st meeting, just in time for the holidays! If you are not familiar with this wonderful concept, learn more about why you shouldn’t miss this!
Support a Worthy Cause
MAFA member Trish Preece would appreciate your support with this project that will benefit her son’s Civil Air Patrol squadron. Trish is invaluable to MAFA and to Newton’s Attic. We appreciate her! CLICK HERE
