From Stella Assange
Over the last three weeks, more than 6,000 people just like you took a few minutes out of their day to send Julian a short note to celebrate his birthday.
The response blew me away. I was so moved that, the day we closed submissions, I called Julian to let him know and to read some of your messages over the phone immediately.
While all the messages work their way through the prison’s systems, I wanted to take a moment to write to you and say thank you.
Today we can clearly see that every action makes a difference, no matter how small. You’ve reminded Julian just how many people deeply care about him and offered one of the most valuable things you can - energy to continue.
Julian’s freedom will not be won in court alone. His freedom depends on the support of our community and the small actions of people just like you.
Thank you.
Stella Assange
We are setting up a screening of ITHAKA, a documentary about Julian’s father’s work to free his son. Details coming soon!
If you are new around here, WELCOME!
Help us build our community — join us at a meeting as soon as you can, bring a friend, then come again. The meeting details are here.

Wow! On the breastfeeding ‘messaging advice’ from UPenn. Just wow. In my 2 min public comment about the amendments to the International Health Regulations I actually referenced breastfeeding and vaginal birth as examples where ‘expansion of access to health technologies and know how (c-sections and formula) was making health outcomes worse and that we needed equitable protection *from* health tech as well as access to it... free choice. That’s an awesome clip, THANKS FOR SHARING! https://jamesroguski.substack.com/p/speaking-truth-to-power-228
