KSU is doing something different with First Thursdays: meet at a local restaurant or other venue, enjoy a yummy [affordable] dinner, and chat amongst ourselves. No speaker, nothing formal, just in-person facetime with our community.
Our July first Thursday gathering is July 3rd at Shelter #2 at Jacobson Park, 4001 Athens-Boonesboro Road, Lexington. It’s potluck so please bring something to share. [If you don’t have something to share, come anyway!] We’ll have water, ice and coolers but if you want something else, BYOB.
Shelter #2 is to the right of the playground and splash park so bring the kids and bathing suits!
Also bring your ideas for future meetups or hit reply and share your thoughts.
Special purpose meetings will be announced in this newsletter as they come up. These will generally be at Newton’s Attic although other locations are possible. If you have ideas for speakers, LET US KNOW :)

Nursery plants are expensive—let’s help ourselves and each other grow our gardens 🌿
Our July 3rd picnic is a perfect opportunity for a plant exchange! If you have extra plants to share, bring them, then take what someone else has brought that will enhance your yard, garden or home.
Any plants not taken need to go back home with the bringer please.
