T.J. Roberts is a lifelong resident of Kentucky House District 66, where is a Republican member of the Kentucky House of Representatives. He assumed office on January 1, 2025, succeeding Steve Rawlings.
Legislative Priorities: Roberts identifies as an "America First Constitutionalist" and has expressed commitment to pro-life, pro-constitution, and pro-Second Amendment positions. He has been involved in legislative efforts to promote school choice, parental rights, and government transparency, and has opposed measures he views as government overreach.
Committee Assignments: As of the 2025 legislative session, Roberts serves on the following House committees:
Elections, Constitutional Amendments & Intergovernmental Affairs
Veterans, Military Affairs, & Public Protection
Judiciary
Political Career: In 2024, Roberts ran for the Kentucky House of Representatives District 66 seat after incumbent Steve Rawlings chose not to seek re-election. He secured the Republican nomination by defeating former representative C. Ed Massey in the primary with 74.2% of the vote. In the general election, Roberts won with 70.5% of the vote against Democratic nominee Peggy Houston-Nienaber.
Professional Background: Roberts has a background in law and currently practices as an attorney at Chris Wiest Attorney at Law PLLC. He has also been involved in political activism, working on campaigns for figures such as Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and Savannah Maddox. His advocacy includes efforts in school choice, constitutional carry, campus free speech, and opposing tax increases.
Early Life & Education: Born in Edgewood, Kentucky, Roberts is a lifelong resident of Boone County. He earned Bachelor of Arts from Transylvania University in 2019, majoring in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics, as well as Writing, Rhetoric, and Communication. He obtained his Juris Doctor from the Salmon P. Chase College of Law at Northern Kentucky University in 2023.
Personal Story & Political Activisim: TJ has been blessed to fight for our rights and freedoms for many years.mIn college, he stood up to his university administration when they suppressed conservative voices and trampled on free speech. In 2020, he sued Andy Beshear after he banned worship, protest, and other activities protected by the First and Fourteenth Amendments during the COVID-19 lockdowns, and he won, setting a precedent for similar cases across America.
This victory was not TJ Roberts’s only victory for those who believe in the right to worship and assemble, as TJ has dedicated his life to protecting the constitutional principles that made America great. In Frankfort, he has fought for school choice, constitutional carry, the campus free speech and due process act, the abolition of vaccine mandates, efforts to stop Andy Beshear’s lockdowns, Right to Work, banning taxpayer-funded lobbying and the end of abortion, and has fought tirelessly AGAINST tax increases, reckless spending, and invasions of our constitutional liberties.
Roberts has worked on the campaigns of many champions of liberty, including Rand Paul, Thomas Massie, and Savannah Maddox- and has worked in Frankfort to fight for pro-liberty, anti-corruption legislation. As a conservative and most importantly as a Christian, his faith in God has been the cornerstone of his beliefs and principles from a young age. Roberts has sought to serve his community not only through political advocacy but also by volunteering in ministry.
TJ’s family has its roots in Horse Racing, and has long taught him the value of faith in Jesus Christ, the importance of hard work, and conservative values. TJ lives on a small farm in Burlington, KY.

Derek Nance Trial Update
Derek Nance’s trial has been continued to October. It will be a four day jury trial starting on Monday, October 13th. The next pretrial hearing for both Derek and JoAnn will take place on Friday, May 9th at 8:30 a.m. in the Circuit Courthouse on the corner of Main and Limestone in Lexington. Judge Travis is typically in Courtroom D on the 2nd floor. Parking garages are around the corner on Barr Street and across Main Street at the library.
Derek and JoAnn very much appreciate the moral support, we believe having supporters in the gallery changes the perceptions of both the judge and prosecutor, and witnessing the hearings (especially the post-hearing debriefs with defense attorney Kelly Kilgore) have been an exceptionally interesting learning experience. Please consider attending.

Want Real, Nutrient-Dense Food? Join us in the Kentucky Food Independence Club!
Kentucky agriculture remains the foundation of our culture: raising/growing nutrient dense food for home and/or market, maintaining strong family ties, respect for property, and a strong work ethic.
Our Mission is to connect Kentucky’s “real food” farmers to educated consumers. Real health begins with clean food. As more and more of us wake up to this fact, we see an increase in consumers wanting to leave behind unhealthy practices and jump in with local "real food" farmers!
What’s a real food farmer? By “real food”, we mean NUTRIENT DENSE food raised and/or grown as close to the earth and as naturally as possible. Like:
Non-GMO or organic feed
Pastured livestock on unsprayed fields
Grass-fed cattle, mostly grass-finished but occasionally some grain-on-grass-finished, as long as the grain is non-GMO or organic and the cattle continue to live on pasture with the sun shining on their backs.
Pastured milk cows - supplemented soy-free grains while milking to keep the cows happy and standing still
Unsprayed hay
Organic gardening practices
Regenerative soil practices
The KY Food Independence Club (KFIC) is a private membership food buying club featuring healthy food provided by Ky farmers. It’s like an online grocery only all the food is REAL & healthy. Nutrient dense foods like…
farm fresh raw milk & dairy products (butter, cream, yogurt, cottage cheese, sour cream and more)
raw milk cheeses
pastured eggs
grass-fed, pastured meats
organic sourdough bread & other baked goods
local honey
